Bluecoat - D3 - Synthetic Wood Adhesive

Description

Bluecoat D3 is high strength cross linker adhesive.
Bluecoat D3 adhesive is a high viscosity homo-polymer emulsion & on drying cross links to form water resistant films.

Usage Areas

Bluecoat D3 is non structural adhesive for joining wood and derived timber products such as bonding of furniture internal structures, paneling, doors, windows lamination etc
For bonding laminates, plywood, veneer, block-board, Hard-board, MDF etc
Bluecoat D3 is to be used in places, where there is intermittent water splashing where high water resistance is required. It cannot be used where there is rain or continuous water splashing.
For edge bonding, finger jointing, cold press / hot press, post forming application & wooden flooring. (where water seepage is not present)

Application Method

The surface to be bonded should be properly leveled, free from oil/grease/ dust & excess moisture. For best results roughen the surfaces to be bonded.
Apply even coat of adhesive on both the surface. Adhesive should be applied first on the non-porous surface and then on the porous surface with the help of spreader, roller or brush.
The entire process of application & pressing should be complete within 68 minutes.
Both surfaces are now brought together with proper alignment and pressed firmly to ensure uniform contact & even spreading of adhesive.
Bonded area should be kept under pressure with help of tapes, nails, clamps or support.
Any excess adhesive should be wiped out with a wet cloth immediately.
Pressure can be removed in 3-4 hours & put to use.
The adhesive has a good wet tack, reasonable open time and is mechanically stable and will crosslink after evaporation of water.

Precautions
